A surefire crowd-pleaser, this madcap German screwball comedy regales the viewer with a picaresque tale of a nerdy physics professor, who gets caught in the net of a flighty young woman named Juli. When he meets her one night at a flea market, where she sells him a sun pendant, she predicts that he`ll marry a woman wearing the same symbol – referring, of course, to herself. Juli`s plans go awry when she fails to spring her trap. However, fate brings the two together (over and over again), when the professor sets out on a wild transcontinental ride from Hamburg to Istanbul, where he expects to meet his supposed “true love” under the Bosphorus Bridge.
